Unit B9

Drakes Cove
Drakes Cove is a market rate development overlooking the entrance to the Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal, with fantastic views of Mt Tam and the Tiburon Peninsula. Russell + Davis Architects were the design architects for the project, leading it through the entitlement process with the city.
Originally the site was zoned for 14 units, we worked with the developer and the city to find advantages with in the city’s zoning laws to increasing the density for the project. By including a larger than required low income and workforce housing development on a portion of the site, and partnering with EAH to create 24 units of affordable housing, the market rate site was allowed to increase density to 24 units as well.
This project was completed while Kevin was with Russell + Davis Architects.
Unit B9
Unit B is an uphill unit type which was located in one of the steepest parts of the site. Nestled against a series of retaining walls, the entry to Unit type B was at ground level, and so to were the living spaces at the third floor, with a second exit to grade.
